A pickup truck, or simply a pickup, is a light-duty truck with an open cargo area typically separated from the cab. The cargo area is called the bed and it can be configured to carry a variety of items such as tools, equipment, or cargo. Pickups usually have a higher ground clearance and towing capacity than cars, making them suitable for hauling heavy loads or towing trailers. The cab of a pickup truck typically has two rows of seats, with the front row often having a bench seat or two bucket seats, and the back row being smaller or sometimes removed altogether.
